Here at Reconnect we offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the needs of children, families and professionals. Our work is rooted in empathy, expertise and a strong understanding of the challenges many families face. I am able to work flexibly across schools, homes and communities.
For families, I provide one-to-one support, help navigating EHCPs and local authority processes, attendance strategies, reintegration planning for children who have been out of school, and well-being sessions for children who may not wish to engage with formal counselling. I specialise in working with pupils with neurodiverse needs such as ADHD, ADD, OCD and anxiety related conditions, and offer inclusive support for children and families from the LGBTQ+ community or those affected by domestic abuse.
For schools and professionals, I offer safeguarding leadership and consultancy, including help preparing for Ofsted inspections, writing safeguarding policies, and supporting with child protection concerns. I also deliver staff training sessions in key areas such as safeguarding in education, youth mental health, and de-escalation strategies (Team Teach certified).
I also create and run local community drop-in services to help reach families that may not otherwise access support, offering a safe, welcoming space to talk through concerns and access guidance without judgment or pressure.
I have extensive experience working with hard-to-reach families and vulnerable young people. My expertise includes supporting children with EHCPs, pupils with long-term absence from education, and those navigating significant emotional or behavioural challenges. I work with families who are neurodiverse or affected by trauma, and I provide advocacy, practical advice, and emotional support in a non-judgemental and inclusive way.
I lead meetings, complete referrals, write professional reports, and work collaboratively with multi-agency teams. I understand the complexities of working across different local authorities and can support families and schools through the processes involved in seeking the right support for each individual child.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Work and have completed an Intermediate Certificate in the Role of the Senior Mental Health Lead. I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead and an Instructor for Youth Mental Health First Aid (England). I am also certified in Team Teach for managing challenging behaviour in a calm, safe, and effective way.
My CPD includes extensive safeguarding training, including female genital mutilation (FGM), honour-based abuse, GDPR in education, safeguarding in the digital age, child-on-child abuse and bullying, and restorative approaches in schools. I have also completed training in suicide alertness, play therapy, CBT and empathic conversations, and fire safety awareness.
